Terms of Service
Last updated: 13 October 2026
These terms apply when you create an account or play FOOTELLO. Please read them carefully. By creating an account you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use FOOTELLO.
1. Who we are
FOOTELLO is a product of Searlco Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 12713800), registered office: Ongar Business Centre The Gables, Fyfield Road, Ongar, Essex, England, CM5 0GA. In these terms "we", "us" and "our" mean Searlco Ltd. You can contact us at info@footello.com.
2. Who can play
- You must be 13 or older to create an account.
- If you are under 16, you need the permission of a parent or guardian, who should read these terms and our Privacy Notice with you.
- You may have only one account, and it is for your own personal, non-commercial use.
3. Your account
- Give us a real email address and keep your password secret. You are responsible for what happens on your account.
- Tell us straight away at info@footello.com if you think someone else has used it.
- Club names, manager names and any other names you choose must not be offensive, misleading, impersonate a real person or organisation, or use names or trade marks of real football clubs, players, leagues or brands. We may change or remove a name that breaks this rule.
4. The game
- FOOTELLO is a football management game. Clubs, players, leagues and competitions in the game are fictional. Any resemblance to real people or clubs is coincidental.
- Match results are worked out by the game's match engine using each club's players, tactics and choices. We don't alter results for any player.
- The game is changing and growing. We may add, change or remove features, rules, balancing and content. We'll try to give notice of important changes.
- Computer-run clubs can be taken over by new managers. If you stop playing for a long time, your club may be handed back to the computer.
5. Playing fairly
You must not:
- cheat, use bots, scripts or automated tools, or exploit bugs (please report them to us instead);
- run more than one account, share accounts, or arrange results or transfers between accounts;
- harass, threaten or abuse other players, or post unlawful, hateful or sexual content;
- try to get into parts of the service, accounts or data you're not allowed to, or disrupt the service;
- copy, sell or reuse the game, its artwork or content except as these terms allow.
If you break these rules we may warn you, reset progress gained unfairly, or suspend or close your account.
6. Free to play, and paid items
- FOOTELLO is free to play. You can build a successful club without paying.
- We offer optional paid items, such as Footellos (₣), our in-game currency, and custom players. Prices and what you get are shown before you buy, payments are taken securely by Stripe, and we email you a receipt. You never have to pay to play.
- Footellos and other in-game items have no cash value, cannot be exchanged for money or for in-game club funds, cannot be transferred to another account and are not your property: you have a licence to use them in the game.
- Footellos can never be used to buy players, pay transfer fees or pay player wages.
- When you buy digital content that we make available to you straight away, you agree that it is supplied immediately and you understand that you then lose your 14-day right to cancel. This does not affect your other legal rights, for example if the item is faulty or not as described.
7. Our content
All FOOTELLO artwork, characters, logos, software and text belong to us or our licensors. You may use them only to play the game.
8. Availability
We work hard to keep FOOTELLO running, but we can't promise it will always be available or free of faults. We may need to pause it for maintenance, updates or reasons outside our control.
9. Ending your account
You can stop playing at any time and ask us to delete your account by emailing info@footello.com. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, or close the service with reasonable notice.
10. Our responsibility to you
- Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law, and nothing affects your legal rights as a consumer.
- We are responsible for loss you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care. We are not responsible for loss that was not foreseeable, or for business losses.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We'll show the date of the latest version at the top and tell you about important changes when you next sign in. If you keep playing after a change, the new terms apply.
12. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. You can bring proceedings in the courts of England and Wales, or, if you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, in the courts where you live. Please contact us first so we can try to put things right.
